Do Indian passport holders need a Canada visa?

Yes. Indian citizens need a Canada visitor visa (temporary resident visa) before travelling to Canada for tourism, to visit family or friends, or for short business meetings. Indian citizens apply for a visitor visa (TRV, temporary resident visa) before travelling. The application is filed online; biometrics are given at a VAC in India. Vistolane files the application and books the biometrics appointment.

The application is made online through the IRCC secure account, followed by biometrics at a Canada Visa Application Centre run by VFS Global. Biometrics are given once every ten years at VFS Global Canada centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Chandigarh and Jalandhar; the passport is requested by IRCC only after approval.

Why Canada visas get refused, and how we prevent it

Most Canada refusals for Indian applicants trace back to the file, not the applicant. The patterns below come from refusal letters handled on the platform.

  • Funds that appear only in the weeks before applying
  • Weak explanation of the purpose and length of the visit
  • Family in Canada not declared on the IMM 5707
  • A host letter without the host's own status documents

A refusal is not a ban. Vistolane reads the refusal letter, fixes the stated reason and re-files with a short cover note, usually within the same week.
